All rooms offer egyptian cotton bedlinen, roger et gallet toiletries, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, bathrobes, hairdryer. There is also a cosy guests sitting room with honesty bar on the ground floor and an elegant dining room where an extensive breakfast buffet is served. We also offer a 4 course table d'hote dinner 5 evenings a week. The grounds include an orchard, meadow, mixed wood, flower beds and a pond. Le bignon is situated in the 'pays baugeois', an area of gentle, wooded countryside layoing between the great river loire to the south and its tributary, the little river loire to the north. Architecture is characterized by soft white tuffeau (local limestone) buildings topped with grey slate roofs and pink brick chimneys. The historic towns of angers, saumur, tours, chinon and fontevraud are within easy reach as are numerous chateaux. It is a great area for fishing, golf, walking, cycling, horse-riding, gliding and of course food and wine..
